Here, at Armoured Touch, we have taken all the guesswork out. We have researched, tested and established a process that allows us to give you a designer-inspired new cabinet look without replacement.
Our commercial grade finish can be made to any solid colour or transparent stain look finish. Our process is sprayed on, just like in a fine, custom kitchen and furniture shop. It takes as little as 5 days, and generally only 2 days are spent in your home with minimal inconvenience.
Do you want a new refrigerator but it’s too tall or wide? An over-the-stove microwave range hood but your existing cabinet is too tall? Want to do away with a microwave box? Not to worry – we can do cabinet alterations – shortening, widening – specific to any of your design needs.
Upgrade the efficiency of your storage with roll-outs and soft close hardware. Yes, we do that too! Add new handles, or knobs to top off a complete new look and there you have it!
We also do stair cases with the same high quality finish.

Trying to determine if your kitchen is a good candidate for cabinet refinishing? If your cabinet doors are outdated or badly damaged, the only solution is replacing them. This process is more expensive than refinishing, but still at a fraction of the cost of replacing your entire kitchen.
Armoured Touch has the expertise in all remodeling processes available. We can mix services to create your dream kitchen. By refinishing fixed items, such as gables and mouldings, we can give your kitchen a brand-new look!
Our cabinet doors come in many wood types and HDF solid colours. We do not sell thermofoil due to its poor durability and adhesion in hot and damp areas, from near toasters or steam in the kitchen environment.
We will remove and reinstall your cabinets with the new door style of choice along with new hinges to suit your design. We also offer a large variety or hardware to complete your look.

Our Process
Day 1
- Our service technicians will arrive at your home and introduce themselves. Generally, we work in teams of 2 or 3.
- Drop sheets will be placed in the areas that they will need to walk through. Then Disassembling of the kitchen doors and drawers, marking the placement of the doors and drawers and cataloguing of the hardware etc.
- Once the kitchen doors and drawers are off, we will proceed to mask off all the cabinet boxes, uppers and lowers, cover the floor of the room and adjacent walls, and tent the room off. We will prepare the cabinet boxes with industrial cleaner and do a final solvent wash. We will fill damaged marks in the existing cabinets.
- Once the preparation work is complete, we hook up a ventilation system which will keep the overspray down and take some of the odour out of the area. The finish will be sprayed on so that you will have a like-new finish similar to one that would be done in a cabinet manufacturing shop. We then unmask the kitchen (you will be able to use the countertops- if applicable)
Day 2-5
- Granite will be installed
- Backsplash will be installed
- Undercabinet lighting will be installed
- Painting of the kitchen will take place.
- Any added cabinetry will be installed
Day 5
Our install crew will return and rehang the refinished doors and add any hardware or hinges, drawer glides or rollouts.
Complimenting Services to Consider
If you choose to create a true custom kitchen make-over, adding a few details to the project will really enhance the overall look. This can include hardware upgrades - hinges or handles, custom drawer boxes or roll-outs added to your existing cabinet boxes to name a few.
Upgraded additions include Granite or Quartz countertops, sinks and faucets, tiled backsplashes, under-cabinet lighting, crown molding and valences, or additional cabinets or an Island. Armoured Touch will work with you to help bring your ideas to life, creating a space to serve your needs and dreams with Affordable Luxury.
With some of these details added to your refinishing or refacing project, it will give you a space with an amazing look, at the fraction of the cost of a new kitchen.
Our Tested Finishing Process
Choosing Armoured Touch, you can expect a process that is truly unique in the industry here in Ontario. We use a two- component conversion varnish system, that has been tested to withstand years of everyday use. We spray your cabinets in your home and remove all fronts and removable trim that are then taken to our large spray booth. This gives you a hard, smooth surface that is durable and easy to clean. This process is very different from an onsite hand painting finish that may be much cheaper, but do not last with everyday wear and tear of a busy home.
Our process takes on an average of 5-7 business days. *When possible, we will allow you to use your kitchen countertop and cooking surfaces while the project is being completed. (*limited safe use)
Getting your Estimate
Whether you are contacting us online, or by the telephone, you will receive the superior customer service that we strive for. You can send us photos of the project for a quick estimate, or book a free, in-home consultation with one of our knowledgeable staff who will explain the process in more detail and help you with colour and design elements. Once we have established the scope of work, we will email you a quote for your project, and a contract to be signed.
Once you are satisfied with the quote and the options therein, we will book your project into our schedule and you will be given your planned start date.
You may need to come into our showroom to make your final selections of fixtures, countertop or backsplash etc.
Warranty
You will receive a copy of our Warranty and Care guide. This will explain in detail our 5 Year Limited Warranty of our workmanship.
